PDO: TRAIN THE TRAINER
“Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; show a man how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”
Train the trainer involves training a person, who in turn train others in their organization. You know what you know, but you also need to teach and train others. This is a key component of succession planning, as well as running an effective and efficient office. This class will help the experienced clerk transmit her knowledge and experience to others in the organization.
It is more than just simple transference of knowledge. You don’t just open your mouth and deposit knowledge into the “learner’s” brain. You have to know how to organize that knowledge, properly present it in a variety of formats for learners who have different learning styles and preferences, and talk about the topic in a way that the learners can understand and learn from. You must also be able to design ways to authentically assess whether or not your students have learned what you’re trying to teach them.

In this interactive and engaging workshop, you will:
• Learn how to teach new skills to your team, as well as gain new skills for yourself
• Discover different styles of learning as well as the benefits of setting clear objectives and tailoring your content to align with those objectives
