Records Management Committee
The Records Management Committee is responsible for promoting sound records management practices through the development of information for use by the membership. The Records Management Committee works closely with the Historian, who is appointed annually by the Committee Chair, and is responsible for collecting and maintaining the historical records of the Association.
This committee is responsible for:
- Partnering with the Colorado State Archivist to update and maintain the Colorado Municipal Records Retention Schedule (CMRRS) for use by clerks statewide
- Adding new records and reviewing existing records
- Developing tools for use by municipal clerks for records management
- Reviewing the policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulations governing the activities of the committee and recommending updates and changes to the Executive Board
